Last week, we left off with a Thanksgiving table setting. I hope it inspired you to start thinking about fun ways to make your table pretty! Today, we are talking FOOD! It just wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without leftovers! But what do you do when you run out? Or you just can’t eat another Turkey sandwich? Here is an easy idea to have on hand. If you are hosting holiday guests, these are an awesome app, snack, lunch- really anytime treat!
I make these year round and no matter the occasion they ALWAYS get gobbled up. Always.
WARNING. These are not healthy. Actually, it’s practically like eating cupcakes.
But it’s the holidays and we can worry about that in January! #gobbletilyawobble
I have even gotten into the habit of doubling up the ingredients because I know they will get gobbled! We like to make them on the weekends when entertaining, watching football, they really are a crowd pleaser!
The nice thing about these is that they can be made ahead of time and refrigerated overnight. So you can relax, watch the game and just pop these in the oven when everyone is starting to get hungry!
And of course, I wouldn’t be sharing a recipe here unless it called for 5 ingredients or less. That’s how I roll! The recipe on the King’s Hawaiian website calls for more ingredients and the below is my modified version. Because I keep things simple.
King’s Hawaiian Ham & Swiss Sandwiches
1 pound ham (I have used less in a pinch)
6 Slices Swiss Cheese
1/3 Cup Mayonnaise
1 Stick Butter (I use less!)
1 12-pack King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Dinner Rolls
